The departure of Ronald Koeman from the Barcelona first team bench was not a surprise to all fans. Despite not having a top-level European squad, the Dutch coach has not managed to create a team capable of functioning at a football level to empower all the pieces he has on his squad, who are not without a lot of talent.

The main culprit for Koeman's continuity is Joan Laporta, who just today has finished taking the necessary step to end the link with one of the club's legends. They have the money to pay their settlement and the board of directors has no doubts that they can have a better coach with the name of Xavi Hernández on the table, but the problem is that the president of the club has another idea, another plan.

According to the newspaper Sport and confirmed by CalcioMercato, Laporta dreams of incorporating Jürgen Klopp as the new coach of the first team of FC Barcelona and is doing everything possible to remove him from Liverpool, taking into account that he ends his contract with the red team in 2023.

Laporta knows how difficult it is to get the German out of Anfield due to everything he has achieved and that Barcelona's situation is not the best to offer a project with important aspirations for one of the best coaches in the world, but he has no doubts that he wants a top-notch German coach before Xavi Hernández, who appears to be the one to take over after Ronald Koeman.
