Manchester United are looking to sign André Trindade da Costa Neto from Fluminense to replace Casemiro this summer, who is set to leave the club to go to the Saudi Pro League with Cristiano Ronaldo. André is 22 years old and is an aggressive defensive midfielder with great passing and tackling qualities. He has reportedly been approached by Manchester United a couple of months ago and has also caused interest by Liverpool. Since Casemiro seems likely to leave Man United this summer, the English club would consider André as the ideal replacement.

Manchester United is planning to get rid of lots of players this summer, especially those on high wages like Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder is currently on $433,595 a week and earns $22.5 million a year at Man United, according to Capology.com. Casemiro is the top earner in the squad, which is more than Raphael Varane, who is on $21.9 million a year, and Marcus Rashford, who earns $19.3 million a year.

With Varane also linked to a move away from Manchester United to Saudi Arabia this summer, many rumors suggest that Casemiro could head along with the French defender. Varane has been linked to a move to Ronaldo's Al Nassr, and perhaps the former Real Madrid teammates could reunite in Saudi Arabia at Al Nassr. The Brazilian contract with Manchester United ends in 2026, which means that Al Nassr will need to make a bid for him. A deal could be cheaper to sign Varane since his Manchester United contract expires next year.

André has already made five appearances with the Brazilian national team and is expected to be called up for the upcoming 2024 Copa America in the United States.
