Erling Haaland has suffered injuries this season for Manchester City, but what the club and the player are looking forward to is the long rest he will have after the FA Cup final against Manchester United in late May. This match will be the last game of the season for Man City, and 20 days later, the 2024 EUROS in Germany will take place with many players from the squad competing with their national teams. Haaland's Norway did not qualify for the EUROS, meaning the striker will rest for over a month.

Haaland's Norway finished third in Group A of the UEFA Euro qualifiers, while Spain finished first and Scotland finished second. Norway had 11 points while Scotland had 17 and Spain had 21. After eight games played, Norway had three wins, two draws, and three losses. Haaland scored six goals in five matches played. Haaland scored a brace against Cyprus in Norway's 4-0 win, but the team suffered a 1-0 loss to Spain and a 3-3 draw against Scotland, which ended their dream of playing in the EUROS.

Although Haaland has been injured for a couple of games for Man City this season, the Norwegian striker has 31 goals and six assists in 39 appearances in all competitions. Haaland is tied as the top goalscorer in the Premier League with 20 goals, along with Cole Palmer. Haaland's last goal for Manchester City was in the 5-1 win against Luton Town in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium via penalty.

Erling Haaland is still out for Manchester City due to injury

Haaland missed Manchester City's last game in the FA Cup semi-final match against Chelsea. Man City won 1-0 against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium and advanced to the final. Manchester City will play against Brighton at the American Express Stadium, but the striker will not play again due to the recovery from his injury. Guardiola mentioned his injury caused him to miss the match against Chelsea, and he is doubtful about the Brighton game. Guardiola said, "Haaland is injured. I don't think it's much but he's not able for today. I don't know if he will be back for the next game.”
