Luka Modric's future seems to be another season at Real Madrid, but in the case of Joselu, the Spanish striker may leave the club at the end of the season. Real Madrid will welcome Endrick and possibly Kylian Mbappé next season, which will make it difficult for Joselu, who is struggling to find minutes now. MARCA reports that Real Madrid are still evaluating the signing of Joselu on a permanent deal. They’re not thinking about the cost of the deal but more about the arrival of Endrick and the more than likely arrival of Mbappé. Joselu is currently on loan from Espanyol.

Although Endrick and Mbappé could join for the striker position, Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly happy with Joselu and values him. He would be happy to have the player in his squad next season. If Real Madrid does consider not signing him on a permanent deal, Espanyol may either keep him next season or sell him to Saudi Arabia. MARCA reports that the Spanish striker is causing interest from multiple Saudi Arabian clubs this summer.

Joselu joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan from Espanyol last summer and since then has made 42 appearances in all competitions. He has scored 13 goals and provided three assists for Real Madrid this season in all competitions. Joselu has played 30 matches in La Liga but he has started in 11 of them. He has eight goals and provided two assists in La Liga this season. His last goal for Real Madrid was against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga away from home in a 1-1 draw.

Despite a lack of minutes, Joselu is in the top five goal-contributors in Real Madrid this season

Although Joselu is not playing as many minutes as others in the Real Madrid squad, like Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham, the striker is in the top five goal-contributors in the team this season. Joselu has 16 goal contributions this season in 1,718 minutes. Jude Bellingham is first with 31 goal contributions in 3,190 minutes, while Vinicius Jr. is second with 30 goal contributions in 2,595 minutes.
