Chicharito Hernández exploded: he was sidelined in front of Hirving Lozano, Raúl Jiménez, Jesús Corona and Carlos Vela

During the last years there were many Mexican top players through all over the world that caught the attention of everyone for their talent and excellent conditions. Many of them performed in some of the best European teams and others played at the MLS.

Telemundo decided to ask their audience who is actually the best Mexican soccer player across the world and gave four options to vote: Hirving Lozano, Raúl Jiménez, Jesús Corona and Carlos Vela. Between those, fans should vote on social media to try to define who is the best one in the world.

But a polemic exploded as many noticed the absence of another Mexican player who was not included in the shortlist and who has a lot of talent, despite he didn’t have his best season. He is Chicharito Hernández, the attacker from LA Galaxy who was not included in the list among his compatriots.

Chicharito is 32 years old and after an entire career in Europe, where he played for teams such as Real Madrid, Manchester United or Sevilla C.F., he decided to leave to play for MLS side LA Galaxy. His team didn’t make it to the MLS Cup Playoffs, and he ended a bad campaign, marked with injuries and the lack of goals.
