Currently, there are already many American footballers who are going through great moments in the main leagues in Europe. Mostly under 25 years old, they would reach a mature age to compete in the Qatar World Cup 2022. That is why the United States is one of the countries that will surely be a candidate to win the World Cup in two years.

As a goalkeeper, Zack Steffen of Manchester City could be the most reliable option. Today he is the best American goalkeeper and is in one of the best five clubs in European football. In defense Sergiño Dest (could be reinforcement of Barcelona or Bayern Munich) will be an indisputable regular and could be accompanied by players such as John Brooks of Wolfburg, Aantone Robinson of Fulham or Mark McKenzie who is currently in the Philadelphia Union but will soon go to football European.

In the midfield the number of players is much larger. The most prominent there is Weston McKennie who recently made his Serie A debut with Juventus. Also worth mentioning are Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig and Giovanni Reyna from Borrusia Dortmund who would be less than 20 years old by the next World Cup. Also noteworthy are: Brenden Aaronson from Philadelphia Union, Gianluca Busio from Sporting Kansas City or Paxton Pomykal from FC Dallas.

On offense is where the most talented players are. The most experienced is, despite being 22 years old, Christian Pulisic. The former Borrusia Dortmund winger currently plays for Premier League Chelsea and would be 24 by the next World Cup. He would also be accompanied by players like Timothy Weah from Lille in France, Josh Sargent from Werder Bremen from Germany, Jeremy Ebobisse from Portland Timbers or the American surprise from MLS, Chris Mueller from Orlando City.
