Diario AS reports that Kylian Mbappé is set to accept a huge salary deduction at Real Madrid, which is worth less than the contract of FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski. Mbappé's yearly salary with Real Madrid would be worth around $16 million, with 80% of his image rights, which could see his annual earnings nearly double. The French star is making a huge sacrifice in order to play at Madrid this summer since he currently earns $76.7 million a year at PSG and is the highest-paid player in Europe.

Mbappé reportedly earned bonuses that would be way more than what he would earn at Real Madrid. According to Capology.com, his bonuses a year are up to $63.9 million. His bonus per week is worth $1.2 million, which puts him at a total of $140.7 million a year at PSG.

Lewandowski's salary at FC Barcelona is $555,215 a week, and the Polish striker earns $28.8 million a year. The striker's contract with Barcelona ends in 2026, and they would be earning more than Mbappé in the next two years, something unheard of in the past few years.

Lewandowski has been one of the best players in La Liga for two years, and this season has been slightly worse than his debut season. Last season, Lewandowski scored 33 goals and provided eight assists in 46 games in all competitions. This season, after 43 games in all competitions for Barcelona, the Polish striker has 20 goals and nine assists. His last goal for FC Barcelona came in the 3-0 win against Atletico Madrid at the Estadio Civitas Metropolitano last month.
