Kylian Mbappé will have many privileges once he joins Real Madrid and one of the most surprising is with respect to his image rights, because according to Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol, Mbappé has reached an agreement with Real Madrid, in which he will be able to keep 100% of the sponsorships that he has previously signed and that the percentage division of the new sponsorships that he signs as a Madrid player will be 80-20 in favor of the player.

This agreement would be far superior, in favor of the French star, to the one that Cristiano Ronaldo once had with Real Madrid. The Portuguese star, who is the top scorer in the club's history with 450 goals, divided his income from image rights 50-50 with the Spanish club during his best moment, but he even had only 40%, since at the beginning the agreement was 40% for Real Madrid, 40% for Cristiano and 20% for the Portuguese's agent, who at the time was Jorge Mendes.

This decision of Real Madrid to grant Mbappé 80% of his image rights corresponds, according to the newspaper AS, to a strategic issue on the part of the Merengue club, since otherwise they would not have been able to convince the Frenchman, since according to information circulating in the Spanish press, Mbappé will not charge more than 15 million euros per year, an amount well below what he currently receives at PSG, which according to the portal Salary Sport is an amount of 53.5 million.

According to the latest Forbes list published in 2023, Mbappé generates €20 million a year in advertising. However, this figure is expected to increase much more once he signs for Real Madrid, because that will give him another global dimension. In that sense, it seems that it is only a matter of time before his arrival in the Spanish capital becomes official, as journalists such as Fabrizio Romando have made it clear that Mbappé is not negotiating with any club other than Real Madrid.

Mbappé's numbers at PSG

Kylian Mbappé has established himself at PSG as one of the best players in the world and his numbers prove it. The 25-year-old French attacker is the top scorer in PSG's history with 253 goals in 302 games played. In addition, he has 41 goals this season, including 8 in the current edition of the UEFA Champions League, a tournament in which he has scored a total of 71 goals and is 69 goals away from equaling Cristiano Ronaldo as the top scorer in that competition.
