There're still two months to go until the Clausura 2021 tournament of Liga MX concludes. However, at Chivas they're already thinking about the future and about the incorporations. In that sense, the various positions in which they will look for players to reinforce the squad are being filtered. In what positions? A central defender, a midfielder and a forward are, in principle, the three places to bring reinforcements.

According to the journalist Fernando Cevallos, those would be the three positions that Chivas would be looking to shore up to be able to lift in the MX League after a Clausura that has been disappointing so far, because after eleven games played, El Rebaño Sagrado is outside the classification zone and his ticket to the Repechage is very committed.

The local market seems like a small thing for Chivas, since the Mexican figures are already monopolized by other clubs, so they would have to make a large investment to bring quality reinforcements from the Liga MX itself, or think about repatriating the Aztec legionaries who are in Europe or the MLS in the United States.

Who are the players Chivas will be looking for?

Taking into account the positions cited by Cevallos, these are the most attractive footballers to reinforce Guadalajara in the Apertura 2021. Among the defenders appear the names of Héctor Moreno (Al Gharafa), Néstor Araujo (Celta), César Montes (Rayados) and Carlos Salcedo (Tigers). When it comes to talking about midfielders, those targeted are Héctor Herrera (Atlético Madrid), Carlos Rodríguez (Monterrey), Erick Gutiérrez (PSV), Andrés Guardado (Betis) and Jonathan Dos Santos (Los Angeles Galaxy).

And the forwards are Javier Chicharito Hernández (Los Angeles Galaxy), Alan Pulido (Kansas City), Santiago Giménez (Cruz Azul), Santiago Ormeño (Puebla), Carlos Vela (Los Angeles FC), Jurgen Damm (Atlanta United), Elías Hernández (Cruz Azul) and Ángel Sepúlveda (Gallos Querétaro).
