James Rodríguez revealed why he does not want his son to play soccer

Many professional soccer players have had sons who grew up to become pro players too. There are tons of examples in every league in the world. Cristiano Ronaldo's son looks like he will be a great one and Erling Haaland's father was a good Premier League player. But James Rodríguez would prefer not to be like them.

The Everton player told some things about his life in a little video released by the Colombian national team Twitter account. James talked about his tattoos, other sports he likes and also, revealed he does not want his son Samuel to be a pro soccer player, surprising the fans with this.

The winger said that he would not like it because being a professional soccer player is very hard. He would be held to lots of unfair criticism, will have lots of frustrations, the career will be very short and he barely will be able to have a life outside soccer, with trainings and travels.

But if Samuel ends up choosing that for his life, he will fully support him, help him and hope him to be happy. The former Real Madrid number 10 will not force his son to do anything. And if the child admires his father at the point to want to play soccer, he will have a talented one there to guide him on how to be one of the best.
