Chivas: Ricardo Peláez is looking to replace Ricardo Cadena at the end of the season

In this way, the Rojiblancos are beginning their preparation for their game against Pumas UNAM in this reclassification round, to fight for a place in the Liguilla (Playoffs).

The "Nene" Beltrán rejoined Chivas

Fernando "Nene" Beltrán had suffered an injury in their match against Rayados de Monterrey on April 13 of this year, and it was not until today that he returned to training.

Beltrán was a starter in that match against Rayados and accompanied Cristian Calderón in the creative area after the first half of hard work, he suffered a knee discomfort and had to leave the field with medical assistance.

The Chivas midfielder, one of the key players in Leaño's midfield, was replaced in the second half by Alan Eduardo "Lalo" Torres. After the player was checked by the doctors, it was determined that he would be out of the field while his knee injury improved.

And today the player returned to the team's training sessions, although he missed the friendly match that the Mexican National Team played against Guatemala and for which he was called up.

Calderón and Torres report to Cadena's team

This day not only marked the return of Beltrán to training with Ricardo Cadena's squad, but also the return of Cristian "El Chicote" Calderón and Eduardo Torres, who requested special permission to be absent from the team. However, they returned to training today.

On the one hand, Calderón got married last Saturday and asked for an extra day to rest and be with his wife, while Torres' case was a little more delicate

This is because the player requested special permission because his grandfather lost his life and the player asked for permission to be able to mourn and accompany his family during this process.

Thus, the Rebaño Sagrado is preparing to face Pumas UNAM next Sunday, May 8 at the Omnilife Stadium, to determine which of these teams will have the right to qualify for the Liguilla.

In the general classification, both clubs are quite far apart, as while the Rebaño Sagrado is in 6th place in the competition, the Universitarios finished in 11th place.

Chivas will be a little fresher and more rested for their match, while Pumas UNAM will be coming into the game having just played in the final of the CONCACAF Champions League.
