Last days we told that Manchester City had signed Kayky Chagas, the great jewel of Brazilian football whom many define as the new Neymar, due to his great talent to play. And the team that Pep Guardiola coaches does not stop when it comes to thinking about the future. It is that in the last hours it became official that the Citizens acquired Darío Sarmiento, a player from Estudiantes of La Plata in Argentina, who is listed as the new Lionel Messi.

"The Estudiantes of La Plata Club informs that, having fulfilled the requirements established in the transfer framework agreement signed in time with Manchester City, the footballer of our institution Dario Sarmiento will join the English entity as of July 1 next", the Argentine club announced in an official statement.

Pep Guardiola knows the importance of reinforcing the formative categories of the English club so that these players who arrive as promises in a period of time become a reality. For this reason, he decided to incorporate Darío Sarmiento, who, due to his conditions, was classified as the new Lionel Messi.

The trajectory of Darío Sarmiento

The 2003 youth category born in Florencio Varela debuted on October 5, 2019 against Huracán, thus becoming the second youngest player to present him in the first team. In the First Division he has played 22 games: 18 between the Super League, the Professional League Cup and the Diego Armando Maradona Cup and 4 between the Argentina Cup and the Super League Cup, totaling 692 minutes of play.
