The San José Earthquakes was one of the featured teams in the MLS is Back tournament, winning three of its five games. But since then, Almeyda's team has conceded 23 goals in the seven games since the MLS regular season resumed, without winning a single game and scoring just three points.

The Argentine expressed that there is a big difference between the San José Earthquakes and the rest of the teams they face. He expresses that there are many young people in the team and that the project that is being developed there is very different from what happens in other teams.

The general manager of the team, Fioranelli, also came out to speak and expressed that he is very upset with the current situation of the team and that they know they have to correct things. He also said that he is very sure that for the next game the team will totally change its face and compete in a better way.
