Lionel Messi is a soccer star that is playing his last years of his career, after being considered, arguably, the best player ever. On the other end is tennis wonder Daniil Medvedev, who has arrived to a Grand Slam final after qualifying to the Australian Open’s decisive game. Both have raised many millions in their careers. But differences are incredible.

Medvedev has just turned 25 years old, and was born in 1996, when Lionel Messi was taking his first steps in Newell’s Old Boys. Only a few seasons after, he moved to Barcelona, to launch the career we all enjoy. So far, the Russian, who is currently World’s no. 2, has raised around $14.1 million according to Forbes and other several sources.

Lionel Messi has recently lived some shocking moments in Barcelona after Spanish newspaper El Mundo revealed his contract’s figures. It was calculated since his last extension was signed on November 2017. It reportedly represented over $673 million over the four seasons, converted from the originally published €555 million magic number.

So, if we do the math, we will get around $167 million per year including all concepts, from his salary to his endorsements and bonus prizes. That would represent $13.99 million every month since then until now. Then, we could conclude Lionel Messi earns a Daniil Medvedev every month in Barcelona, roughly.
