The Reds already signed his replacement from Fulham FC.

Liverpool beat 3-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers in the final game of the season but that wasn’t enough for them to win the Premier League title, as Manchester City also won their game, which made them back-to-back champions.

Now, Liverpool will have to start planning what will be the 2022-23 Premier League season for them, as they already had their first departure, Divock Origi, but who certainly won’t be the only one, given the interest that players like Sadio Mané have gathered recently.

And according to reports, other player that is set to be on the move is Takumi Minamino, who arrived at Liverpool in 2020 and has had a backup role during his stint in Anfield. But even if he’s under contract until 2024, the lack of playing time that Jürgen Klopp gave him this season is a sign of what the future holds for him.

Even if Liverpool played four different competitions this season, the 27-year-old Japanese international only played 176 minutes in Premier League, and even if he managed to score three goals over that span of time, Klopp knows that he doesn’t have a place in the roster, as they already signed his replacement.

Fabio Carvalho is set to join Liverpool

with only 19 years, Fabio Carvalho had a breakout season in Championship with the newly promoted Fulham FC, where he was an essential player given that he started in 33 of the 36 games that he played, scoring 10 goals and eight assistances

Klopp didn’t let the opportunity pass and decided to sign the 19-year-old offensive midfielder back in April for $5.3 plus $2.9 add-ons, and according to Fabrizio Romano, he’ll be officially announced in the upcoming days.

The Portuguese midfielder will join Liverpool on a five-year contract, as he already passed his medical exams, and now that Premier League and Championship are over, he’s just waiting for the preseason to start to join his new club.

Where can Minamino play next season?

According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is set at $21 million, a sum that Liverpool could use to acquire Czech striker Adam Hložek, who is on Liverpool’s radar to replace Origi, but first they will have to sell Minamino. According to reports from Calcio Mercatto, both Lazio and AC Milán are interested in the Japanese left-winger.
