Ronaldo Nazario bought a stake in his boyhood club, Cruzeiro, in 2021, in which he controls 90% of it. Globo Esporte reports that Ronaldo is negotiating to sell the club to a new company. Ronaldo also owns the Spanish club Real Valladolid, but he will continue to work with that club. In 2023, Ronaldo hinted that the sale of Cruzeiro was possible, and the Brazilian would look to sell it for more than $72 million. It would be a profit of $2 million since Ronaldo invested $70 million in the club.

Cruzeiro is 13th in the Brazilian Serie A league with 4 points after the first three games. Last season, the team placed 14th after a 38-game season. Ronaldo wanted to bring Cruzeiro back to the top as it was one of Brazil's most popular and successful clubs.


Ronaldo Nazario started his career in Cruzeiro before he moved to Europe to play for teams like PSV, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and AC Milan. Ronaldo's last team he played for professionally was Corinthians in Brazil. Ronaldo made ten first-team appearances for Cruzeiro. In Europe at club level, Ronaldo made 330 appearances in all competitions, where he scored 234 goals and provided 56 assists. He won important titles like the UEFA Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, La Liga titles, and the Spanish Cup. He also won two Copa America and two World Cups for the Brazilian national team.

Ronaldo's ownership of Real Valladolid
