City Football Group does not rest and now wants a new team, but in Mexico

The group that owns Manchester City does not want to give up. The City Football Group recently bought Brazil's Bahia FC, its thirteenth team, and is now looking to fish in Mexican territory in search of a valuable brand, which will also serve as a hotbed of talent.

One of the modus operandi of the City Football Group is to take over important teams in American leagues with the aim of improving them financially, recruiting talent and then bringing it to Manchester City. For this reason, they are already looking for a team in Mexico that they can acquire.

There, the possibility of Chivas Guadalajara appears on the scene. The club presided by Amaury Vergara could be sold with a sufficiently high offer. However, on multiple occasions Vergara has communicated that he will not sell the team until he achieves the titles that his father achieved as president.

How much could Chivas be worth to the City Group?

The team is one of the most valuable brands in Mexican soccer. According to the latest study by Forbes magazine, Chivas is worth 1.2 billion dollars, a figure that could be affordable for the group or simply buy a percentage of the club, as it has already done in other cases.
