Neymar showed himself in an incredible condition during this international break of October. Brazil won the two games at the start of the World Cup Qualifiers and the Paris Saint-Germain star had much to do with it. Against Perú, Ney scored three goals and surpassed an all-time record for his national team.
Neymar arrived to 64 goals scored, letting behind Ronaldo Nazario, who netted 62 for the national team. With these numbers, Ney is now the second all-time goal scoring of Brazil. He needed 103 matches to score those 64 goals, which were made in friendly (42), World Cup Qualifiers (9), World Cup (6), Copa América (3) and Confedetarions Cup (4). He also gave 43 assists for his teammates in the same period.
Neymar will now have to chase Pelé, all-time Brazil top scorer with 77 goals. As he is still 28, we may think that, if nothing strange happens in his career from now on, he will be able to reach O Rey and stand as the player who scored the most for the Scratch in the whole history.
Brazil is now the leaders of the World Cup Qualifiers after two games played, as well as Argentina. They defeated Bolivia (5-0) and Perú (4-2) and will be facing Venezuela (November 12) and Uruguay (November 17) on the next international break.
