It's a clear story of overcoming. Because when he began his career as a professional footballer, many reproached him for the lack of a goal. And on Saturday night, Argentine forward Rogelio Gabriel Funes Mori converted his 121st score and caught up with Chilean Humberto Suazo as Rayados of Monterrey's all-time top scorer. Impressive!

El Mellizo scored in the victory over Atlético San Luis by 2-0, at home, on the 13th round of Liga MX and managed to match the historic record of Chupete Suazo in the club. The first goal of the match had been made by Maximiliano Meza, who started with Funes Mori, while the other Argentine Matías Kranevitter entered in the second half.
The former River Plate from Mendoza reached this figure in 234 matches between all competitions: 98 shouts were in the Mexican tournament, 19 in the Mexico Cup, 2 in the Concachampions and another 2 in the Club World Cup. Funes Mori came to Rayados in 2015 and also left his mark on titles as he won a league, two Mexican Cups and a Concachampions.
In the current Guardianes tournament, the 30-year-old striker reached nine goals in the championship and is one of the gunners together with his compatriot Alexis Canelo, from Toluca.
