Five wins and three tie-games is Toronto FC's record along the 2020 MLS season. They are leadering the Eastern Conference and tonight will face Montreal Impact in a Canadian rivalry that will also sum to the Canadian Championship that takes one team to the Concacaf Champions League.
Undefetead after eight games, The Reds, who won the MLS Cup in 2017, are one of the big candidates to fight for a new title. On the other hand, tonight's result would be historic to the league. Toronto can reach a record held by Columbus Crew and FC Dallas after ten years.
Between 2004 and 2005 Columbus Crew was the first team to achive an 18 undefetead streak in the history of the MLS. Just five years later, FC Dallas managed to reach that record. The negative data is that neither The Crew or Cowboys won that year's MLS Cup. So Toronto, also wants to finish with that streak.
