Manchester City's Belgian midfielder has just made history in the competition.

This afternoon, Kevin de Bruyne set a UEFA Champions League record that neither Cristiano nor Messi achieved, on the ground between Manchester City and Real Madrid.

The match, which was one of the most exciting to watch in the current tournament, ended 4-3 in favor of City, giving them some advantage for the second leg.

But if there is one team that cannot be considered dead, it is Real Madrid, and they have shown it in this UEFA Champions League, as they did against PSG

But in the match, an event occurred that was recorded as part of the history of the tournament, since something like what happened this afternoon had never happened before, at least in the semifinals of the tournament.

This was the record that Kevin de Bruyne set in the UEFA Champions League that neither Cristiano nor Messi achieved

Kevin de Bruyne scored the fastest goal in the UEFA Champions League semifinals this afternoon, with a strike that fell 93 seconds into the game, a record that neither Cristiano nor Messi achieved.

His goal gave Manchester City a partial lead, and his strike would later be followed by Gabriel Jesus' goal, which came in the 11th minute of the match.

However, De Bruyne's goal has already gone down in the history of the UEFA Champions League, because it had never been scored so quickly in a match at this level.

And what is most striking is that this record does not belong to Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, players who at the time achieved records that seemed impossible, such as the fact that both stars are the two biggest scorers in the tournament.

However, De Bruyne's record is one that neither of the two could achieve, even though both players managed to play several semi-final matches in this tournament.

Kevin de Bruyne scored the fastest goal in the UEFA Champions League?

No, that honor goes to Roy Makaay, the Dutch center forward who made UEFA Champions League history by scoring the fastest goal of the tournament.

Makaay accomplished this feat when he scored after 10.12 seconds of the 2007 round of 16 matches between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid at the Allianz.

Since then, other goals have come and gone in an attempt to match Makaay's feat, but all they have managed to do is fall several seconds short of the Dutchman's time.

And although De Bruyne also failed to beat Makaay's record, he did manage to set a new one in the semifinals of the tournament, now that he scored the fastest goal in these instances, against Real Madrid.
