The team led by Scottish Steve Glass is nowhere to be found in MLS 2020 and is far from the best moment it experienced two years ago.

Of the last eleven games played in MLS, Atlanta United has triumphed in just one: vs. Nashville SC. The lack of goal, the irregularity in the game, the lack of a serious coach and the bad transfer policy are destroying a franchise that two years ago was the example of MLS.

With Gerardo Martino at the head of the team, Atlanta United lived its best time. Playing good football, signing young stars and winning trophies. But with his departure from the team, Atlanta United does not find its way. Of the last eleven games, in addition, he only scored eight goals and received 18, of which his striker Josef Martinez did not participate in any of them, who has missed games since he is being affected by an injury.

It must also be added that the signing of Gonzalo Martinez did not turn out as expected and was sold to Arab football for a millionaire figure that compensated for his poor performance. Of the current players, only Ezequiel Barco seems to be up to par despite not being in his best footballing moment.

Atlanta United ranks last in the 2020 MLS Eastern Conference with just 11 points. It is not the worst in the league as it is only surpassed by Inter Miami with 9 points. If it wants to qualify for the playoffs, Atlanta United will have to bring in a new coach in the style of Gerardo Martino and rebuild a project that was destroyed with his departure.
