FIFA Ranking: Mexico once again surpasses USMNT at 12th position

El Tri appeared in 12th place in the FIFA Ranking, surpassing the United States, which appeared in 13th place in a ranking led by Belgium.

Mexico climbed two positions in FIFA's monthly rankings to reach 12th place, above the United States, which dropped to 13th place after the World Cup qualifiers.

Gerardo Martino's team had two wins and a draw in the three matches they played to fight for a place in Qatar 2022.

Canada has been one of the big performers, moving up seven spots to No. 33 after an undefeated first window through 2022. John Herdman's team remains undefeated in the octagonal table after wins over Honduras, the USMNT, and El Salvador earlier this winter.

On the other hand, Belgium remains at the top of the FIFA world ranking ahead of Brazil and France, with Argentina snatching fourth place from England.

The South American qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup allowed the 'Albiceleste' to overtake England and close in on France.

The second half of the top 10 is made up of Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Germany and Mexico move up to the eleventh and twelfth place, respectively, and Uruguay to the sixteenth.

Senegal, who were crowned African champions in Cameroon last Sunday, reached their highest position on the list, eighteenth, while Egypt, finalists, moved up to thirty-fourth.
