The defender ends his loan at San José Earthquakes, but will stay at the MLS.

Chivas finished a complicated regular season and is already looking forward to what’s coming next. The team coached by Víctor Vucetich earned 26 points out of 17 games to finish on the seventh position. The great objective of ending between the first positions was not accomplished and now they’ll face Necaxa on the playoffs.

But the problems for Chivas were now only on the pitch. The Rebaño Sagrado had many players committing indiscipline acts and both Vucetich and sport adviser Ricardo Peláez decided to axe them. Now they are already thinking on replacements and signings for the next campaign.

After the COVID-19 pandemic the clubs don’t have much money to spend and Chivas is not the exception. That is the reason why they are looking forward to recovering some players who are loaned at should be coming back soon. One of that cases is the one of Oswaldo Alanís, who is thinking not to come back.

Alanís left Chivas on a loan to San José Earthquakes on January 2020. He has been playing under Matías Almeyda mandate and should be going back on December of this year, but will probably extend his contract at the MLS. As he said when he left, he wants to play and never be the second option for the coach and that is why he never wants to return to Chivas.
