The team led by Xavi Hernández, who was presented today, wants to sign Raheem Sterling in the next transfer market.

According to the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Pep Guardiola has told FC Barcelona that he wants Frenkie de Jong in exchange for Raheem Sterling in the next winter transfer market, where great movements are expected from the Barça team.

The team led by Xavi Hernández, who will be presented tomorrow, wants to sign Sterling in the next market due to all the problems they have with injuries on the offensive flank (Sergio Agüero, Ansi Fati, Ousmane Dembélé, Martin Braithwaite…).

Manchester City are willing to sell the English winger for a little more than 40 million pounds, taking into account that he has lost importance within the team due to the arrival of Jack Grealish plus the great irruption of names such as Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesús, who are also establishing themselves in the starting team.

But, despite being interested in leaving it, Pep Guardiola has communicated to Joan Laporta that he is interested in selling it at a low price but only if they propose an exchange, where the English team would put more money on the table to convince them to release to Frenkie de Jong.

The Barça team would not be willing to let the Dutchman out until Xavi Hernández gets down to work with the first team, but the opportunity to reinforce his attack and receive money is more than interesting for a club that is going through a difficult time.
