The claim appeared in 2018, when according to the denouncer, the former FC Barcelona midfielder had a fight with her boyfriend, the Turkish musician Berkan Sahin in a disco. Turan admitted the fight, but denied the harassment to the woman. He thought that the issue had ended with the last trial, but the veredict was appealed due to suspicious statements from two witnesses.
