Steven Gerrard had his first training session yesterday as the Manager of Aston Villa Football Club. His appointment came after the sack of Dean Smith a few days ago. He's setting up his team to take up the challenge of competing again after a very poor run to the season. 

Five players will possibly benefit from Steven Gerrard's plan for the team, those players are those that will fit perfectly to his game play and thereby have enough playing time. These players will also have the chance of escaping the transfer list should they perform to expectations.

Gerrard will be glad to have a world class shot stopper like Martinez and he has already pledged his commitment to Villa.
