Ronald Koeman's era at Barcelona is over and he has been replaced by Xavi Hernandez, a legend of the club just like Koeman. He may not be well received among Barca fans but he will remain loved in the hearts of Dutch fans.

He took over the Netherlands team whose last tournament was the 2014 FIFA World Cup. They missed out on the 2016 Euros and the 2018 World Cup, it led to the sacking of Dick Advocaat and Koeman came in. He led the country to UEFA Nations League 2018/19 final losing to Portugal.

Koeman was in charge until he left in 2020 when he took up the Barcelona job which he has now been sacked from. Whatever the new look Netherlands national team is, Koeman laid the foundation for it.

He managed just 20 games for the Netherlands national team, he won 11 games, drew five and lost four, he brought in some of the new generation stars like Donny Van de Beek, Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs De Ligt and co.
