Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær is walking on a thin rope and living on borrowed time at the club. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and Solskjær could soon find himself out of the club and back to Norway.

Part of the fallout of the proposed European Super League had Manchester United director Ed Woodward announce he will be vacating his position at the end of the year but before he goes he could be influential in a big decision for the club.

Despite the recent run of form, Solskjaer has enjoyed support from the Manchester United board but has recently been falling out of favour with them one by one. Ed Woodward is the latest to have had enough of the Norwegian though he still enjoys support from Sir Alex Ferguson and Joel Glazer.

The Solskjær experiment at Manchester United is a failure at best and should have ended before it started. Three years as manager and an investment of over £400m and three contract renewals yet there's no trophy to show for it.
