History will be made by Dean Smith when League action returns after the international break. The former Aston Villa Manager was sacked just eight days ago and will be making a quick return to the Premier League with Norwich.

The 50-years-old last game for Aston Villa was against Southampton on a 1-0 defeat and will be making history on his return as he will be facing the saints again, he will be the first manager to take charge of successive Premier League matches against the same opponent after taking over at Norwich City.

He will be saddled with the responsibility of making the Canaries avoid relegation after signing a two and half years contract. His time at Aston Villa came to an end after five successive losses.

With Norwich he has much more to do, the Canaries have been languishing at the bottom of the table since the beginning of the season with just five points in 11 games. They are counting on Dean Smith's experience to get them out of trouble.
