Bayern Munich is not planning to release Hansi Flick from his contract at the Allianz Arena until 2023 in case the coach wants to inherit Joachim Löw as German National Team after the European Championship in the summer. This was stressed by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, president of the board of directors of the actual Champions League winner, in statements collected by the DPA agency in which he was most blunt with the future of the coach.

"We would be crazy if we let our coach go early," explained Bayern's chief executive after Flick sounded loud for the Mannschaft bench. What's more: Rummenigge did not hesitate to contact Fritz Keller, president of the German football federation (DFB) to clarify the matter in person: "The decision of the Deutscher Footbal Bund (DFB) not to contact any coach with a contract beyond 2021 It seems serious and right to me", he added.

Of course, the Munich president did not cut himself and made it clear that there is no possibility that Flick ends up in the German team. "I have always said that the coach is the most important employee and we have a contractual agreement that is known. From that point of view, it is not a problem at all. We are not going to solve the problems of the DFB. And if I'm honest: Yes. If I were a coach and changed FC Bayern for the DFB, it would only make me laugh", he concluded.

What does Hansi Flick think indoors?

Hansi Flick wants to focus on his role as Bayern Munich manager, but did not explicitly rule out succeeding Joachim Löw as Germany coach from the European summer, he said today, on the eve of the Bavarians' match against Werder Bremen. "I do not care about things that happen outside. I still want to work with great success here, at Bayern Munich, and win several titles", he said before the match that the Bundesliga pointer will play as a visitor. "Speculation about my future is misplaced," concluded the 56 years old coach.
