This is the first time Antonio Conte will be playing in a European competition different to the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League. This is due to his appointment as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur after the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo.

He was appointed as the permanent manager of Tottenham a few days ago and today was his first European duty for the club. A match between Tottenham and Slovenian club NS Mura which they lost 2-1. This marked Antonio Conte's first defeat after just four games.

The team has played a total of 65 games in European competitions, and won 33, drawn 16 and lost 16. In those matches he scored 114 goals and only conceded 73. This he did with Inter Milan, Juventus, Italy, Chelsea and now Tottenham.

The former Inter Milan coach is one of the most successful coaches in Europe, leading Inter Milan to their first league title in years. Even though his impact is yet to be felt at Tottenham, he has shown a lot of positives.
