Ole Gunnar Solskjær's reign at Manchester United which began in December 2018 has finally come to an end after a poor run of results which was considered enough after an embarrassing 4-1 loss away at Watford.
Solskjær's time at Manchester United will be forgotten faster than the time of his predecessor Jose Mourinho for failing to win a trophy in his almost three years at the club despite being given the time, support and money.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær has spent about £500m despite inheriting a squad that came second only to Manchester City's record breaking title winning season of 100 points. His best outing at the club was the UEFA Europa League loss last season to Villarreal.
Manchester United's decision to sack Solskjær was agreed on at a board meeting that lasted five hours last night and it was agreed he would be paid the remaining years of his contract which would see him earn £7.5m as compensation.
