Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been backed by the Manchester United hierarchy more than any other manager in recent times. He has been given over £400m worth of signings and has yet to produce anything tangible for the club.

Solskjær has made some signings that could be called totally unnecessary with the way he utilises those players. Four players he signed recently have been rarely utilised leading to many to question if he needed them in the first place or knows how to use them.

He signed Donny Van de Beek for €39m, Amad Diallo for €21, Facundo Pellistri for €9m and Jadon Sancho for €85m. All four cost a combined €154m but he has hardly used them. Donny Van de Beek's case is what has attracted the most attention.

It was recently reported that Solskjær and his coaching crew are trying Jadon Sancho as wing-back which many have described as a sackable offence. Sancho and Van de Beek are two of the brightest Europe stars in their positions and have all fallen victim of Ole's manhandling.
