The Brazilian player returned to play at the club that formed him as a professional for the minimum wage.

All Santos fans are grateful that Robinho wanted to return to the club that formed him as a player and that he collects the minimum wage. This decision was the reverse of what happened to Gonzalo Higuain when he was proposed to return to River Plate and he rejected the offer because Inter Miami offered him the best salary in MLS.

The fans of River Plate, the club where Higuain was formed, call him a mercenary for not wanting to play again for a sum much lower than what he charges at Inter Miami. Instead, Robinho returns to Santos and the fans are already delirious with his decision. Santos' idol agreed to lower his salary in order to wear his team colors again.

At this point in his career, Robinho affirmed that mental well-being is more important than having a lot of money in your pocket. Robinho wants to give back to Santos everything the club did for him when he was a kid. Higuain could have done the same as Robinho but leaned more for money and comfort and not for love for River Plate.

Robinho said that it is in perfect condition and that it just lacks a little football rhythm. The player came to the Santos club when he was 12 years old, playing all the divisions there. After Santos, Robinho played for the best teams in Europe, such as Real Madrid or Manchester City.
