Raúl Jiménez is probing how good he is at Premier League. The Mexican attacker is having an incredible moment at Woverhampton and is now one of the top-scorers at the Premier League, after netting four goals in six games played this season. But he is also fighting for an all-time record.
Chicharito Hernández is the Mexican player who scored the most amount of goals in the Premier League. During his time at Manchester United and West Ham United he scored 76 goals setting an all-time record. But, now Jiménez may be overcoming that mark.
Jiménez arrived to the Wolves when the club decided to buy him for more than $40 million to Benfica, on July 2019. It was the fourth club he represented in his career, after being at his former club America, Atlético de Madrid and Benfica. Since his arrival, he scored 48 goals after 106 appearances.
Jiménez is now 28 goals away of getting to the mark that Chicharito has in the Premier League and that might let him as one of the very best Mexican players who passed through one of the best leagues in the world. Head to head, Jiménez has the talent to overcome Chicharito and it seems to be a matter of time for that to happen.
