Miguel Herrera looks confident and has already made a shocking revelation

At the press conference before the match against Cruz Azul, coach Miguel Herrera made a shocking revelation by revealing his starting 11 a day before the match against the Cementeros.

This is a sign that the coach is confident since in Mexican soccer this practice is not at all common, and coaches wait until a few hours before the start of their matches to announce the players with whom they will start the game.

According to his statements to the press, "Piojo" Herrera made this revelation to make sense of a statement he made at the press conference in which he said that he "will stay true to his style" for this important match.

The coach made this statement because in the Semifinals of the Apertura 2021, he "betrayed" his style of play, for which he was eliminated from the instance by León, a club that reached the final of the tournament against Atlas and lost it.

"Not changing your way of playing will be important, with that idea we will go. It's not so much up to me, it's up to the boys to do it, they are the ones who drag us along in their success, soccer gives you revenge every week and in the Liguilla, it gives you revenge, you have the possibility of coming to your house to turn things around", was what the coach stated in the interview.

He also made the shocking revelation of revealing his starting 11 a day before the match. His lineup will be: Nahuel Guzmán, Jesús Dueñas, Hugo Ayala, Guido Pizarro, Jesús Angulo, Javier Aquino, Rafael Carioca, Juan Pablo Vigón, Nicolás López, Luis Quiñones and André-Pierre Gignac

Will Miguel Herrera humiliate the Cementeros again in Tigres vs Cruz Azul in 2022?

No Cruz Azul fan has ever been able to forget Miguel Herrera's brutal humiliation of the Cementeros in the final of the 2013 Clausura tournament.

In that match, Cruz Azul came within minutes of ending their 16-year title drought and had to fight the final of the tournament against the Águilas del América, club managed by Herrera, in a heart-stopping final.

In the 88th minute of that match, Cruz Azul was leading 2-0 on aggregate, but a goal by Aquivaldo Mosquera gave the Águilas hope and made the score 2-1, but that would not be all in that epic comeback.

Just a few minutes later, in added time, a corner kick in the Cruz Azul area was headed in by the club's goalkeeper, Moisés Muñoz, who scored the equalizer, forcing overtime and then penalties.

And in the penalty shootout, Chuleta Orozco and Alejandro Castro of La Máquina missed, to put the title on a silver platter for Club América, in a painful humiliation that still lives on in the hearts of Cementeros fans.
