Which world star does Blaise Matuidi is trying to convince to join the MLS?

Blaise Matuidi, 33, left Juventus in the Italian Serie A this past summer to join David Beckham's project at Inter Miami. Before retiring, the French world champion decided to challenge himself at the Major Leage Soccer and has now opened the doors of his new club to his compatriot Antoine Griezmann.

Aware of the difficulties he is going through at Barça, where he isn't confortable and hasn't performed at the expected level, Matuidi invited Griezmann to follow in his steps and join Inter Miami. The former PSG midfielder understands that maybe it is still too early for Griezmann to accept this challenge. Matuidi said that his compatriot still has many years to play in Europe and has a long-term contract but that if he wants to make it to MLS he will be welcome.

The 29-year-old forward is far from his pace. He has only scored 15 goals in his first 51 appearances for Barcelona and has yet to open his account at the start of the new season. The position in which coach Ronald Koeman places him on the field doesn't fit him and Griezmann is finding it hard to stand out surrounded by Lionel Messi, Philippe Coutinho and Ansu Fati. Even the coach of the French National Team, Didier Deschamps, has complained about the position where Koeman place him.

Griezmann, a lover of the NBA and the United States, who travels to Miami whenever he can, has never hidden that he would like to finish his career in the MSL. In addition to Blaise Matuidi, the right person to convince Griezmann of moving to the MLS is David Beckham.
