Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of teenage French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga as he prefers a move to Spain.

Manchester United may not get their midfield target in teenage French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga as he prefers a move to the Spanish capital to join Real Madrid and could also consider Barcelona.

The Red Devils are keen to land the Rennes midfielder as a replacement for compatriot Paul Pogba should he decide to move on this summer or as an addition to the squad even if Pogba stays.

But according to Manchester Evening News, Camavinga may not be heading to Old Trafford because he would want a move to Spain with Real Madrid as his preferred destination to join Carlo Ancelotti.

Camavinga has enjoyed two good seasons of impressive performances at Rennes which has attracted the interest of top European clubs and Rennes are open to selling if the right offer comes. Real Madrid and Barcelona financial issues could mean United may still land their man.
