Ansu Fati has come a long way to establish himself as the next big thing in Barcelona. But his recurrent injuries may be an obstacle.

Ansu Fati has come a long way to establish himself as the next big thing in Barcelona. But his recurrent injuries may be an obstacle.

The 18-year-old was on his way to become the next Lionel Messi. he joined Barcelona's La Masia in 2012, aged ten,On 24 July 2019, Fati signed his first professional contract with Barcelona, At a very tender age of 16 years and 298 days, he became the second-youngest player to debut for the club, only 18 days older than Vicenç Martínez.

 

He got called up into the Spanish National team after impressing in two UEFA Champions League games. After the departure of Lionel Messi he was given the prestigious number formerly worn by the Ballon d'Or winner. But injuries have been threatening his career. 

 

Fati has gone for more than 365 days injured since 2019. In less than three years he has had seven different injuries. He has missed a total of 54 games for Barcelona in just three years after making his debut. This is not a good thing for such a player that's said to become the next Lionel Messi. 

 

After returning from an injury that took him out for a whole season and just getting back in shape, He's said to have Knock in the tight knee and may be out for a considerable amount of time. A player that will have something close to Lionel Messi's career cannot be an injury prone player. You have to be fit always to be able to get close to Lionel Messi numbers, and Ansu is going the other way.
