FC Barcelona has produced many young players for many years, but not all of them are successful overnight. Some youngsters have been loaned out to other clubs and do not deliver. Some of these young players either do not fit in the squad or have dropped their level tremendously. While Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi are excelling at the Barcelona first team, a youngster some have forgotten about is Ansu Fati. The Spanish winger was promising, like Yamal and Cubarsi, but his multiple injuries made him drop his level. Ansu Fati joined Brighton and Hove Albion on loan last summer and has continued to play a few games due to injury.

Ansu Fati has played 15 matches in the Premier League this season, and he started in only three of them. He scored two goals this season for Brighton, but despite his poor run of minutes, the Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi wants to give him more opportunities. Sport reports Roberto De Zerbi wants to renew Ansu Fati's loan for another year at Brighton. De Zerbi believes that Ansu Fati is a 'sleeping giant' and wants to wake him up. Barcelona are expected to look for a new loan spell for Ansu Fati.

Fati won't be sold on a permanent deal since he signed a renewal contract that expires in 2027. Last season, Fati played 36 matches, and he started in 12 for FC Barcelona. He scored seven goals and provided three assists. Fati's renewal could affect another player in the current Barcelona squad.

Ronald Araujo wants to stay in FC Barcelona, but the club needs to work on the salary

Sport reports that Araujo wants to stay, and Barça wants him to continue, but the equation is not so simple. During his last renewal, Pedri and Ansu Fati also renewed their respective contracts, going on to receive an amount that placed them on a much nobler salary step. The club convinced Araujo that his salary increase could not be as much as what was expected due to fair play. Araujo accepted and renewed. The player, with the club now in financial crisis, thinks accepting an offer abroad would be a win.
