Canada qualifies for Qatar with a win over ‘La Selecta’. John Herdman’s squad is still unbeaten in the CONCACAF qualifiers. The Maple Leafs remain in the first place and will look to qualify at the top of the standings with three remaining matches to be played at the end of March.

Meanwhile, the Salvadorian national team was unable to beat the leader of the qualifiers and remain out of the playoff zone. Atiba Hutchinson opened the scoring at 66′, while Jonathan David scored the second at 93′.

Next round, El Salvador will visit Jamaica, while Canada will do the same against Costa Rica, which is playing to qualify in fourth place.
