Zinedine Zidane must have gone mad after reading the news in his phone or his laptop: there is a club from the powerful Ligue 1 of France who is looking to sign one of the longest serving players of Real Madrid. The French coach has moved some pieces in the Spanish side’s first team and that could lead so a big shock in the transfer market.

According to specialized website Fichajes, AS Monaco would be willing to pay a big amount of money for 32-year-old left-back Marcelo. The Brazilian has spent almost 15 years playing for Real Madrid since his arrival from Fluminense in 2007. However, despite his successful spell in the club he could be keen on to depart.

Zidane could be furious, but at the same time he could be the reason of Marcelo's anger. The experienced international who played in the last two World Cups for his country has been left out of the starting XI by the coach. He has just played seven games in 2020-21 season, after having lost the spot in the hands of France’s Ferland Mendy.

As per the reports, AS Monaco could offer $7 million per season to the defender, who's transfer's price could be around another $12 million. He could be not the only one to leave from Real Madrid to Ligue 1, should Sergio Ramos sign for PSG as rumors suggested.

The new Roberto Carlos?

By the end of 2006 when Marcelo signed for Real Madrid, he was named the new Roberto Carlos, historic left back of the so-called White House. during his 14-year spell in the club Marcelo one no less than 22 trophies including four FIFA World Club Cups (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018).
