Real Madrid is going through a bad financial moment. The COVID-19 pandemic hit everywhere and everybody is trying to save as much money as possible. And in this regard, Florentino Perez is livid at the expenditures that the club made because Zinedine Zidane had ideas that did not result.

And the expenditures in signings asked by Zizou are close to the 400 million euros, with only one of them, Ferland Mendy, making it consistently into the starting eleven. The rest are struggling to start, are rotation options, and even some of them are not in the club anymore and were shipped somewhere else.

The idea was to get good players for the future, when the time of retirement comes for the veterans of the squad. But those, like Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric, are still carrying the team, while the majority of the young investments are not looking like safe options for the future.

They are Luka Jovic (63 million euro), Eder Militao (50 million), Mendy (48), Vinicius Jr. (45), Rodrygo Goes (45), Reinier (30), Alvaro Odriozola (30), Theo Hernandez (24), Brahim Diaz (17), Dani Ceballos (16.5), Andriy Lunin (8.5), Federico Valverde (5), Martin Odegaard (2.8) and Takefusa Kubo (free).
