While in Al Sadd where he started his coaching career Xavi is known for taking pride in possessive football, his team averaged over 2.5 goals per match, they are a real threat going forward with a 3-4-3 formation. Barcelona is used to a 4-3-3 formation but Xavi will follow the modern football trend.

He will prioritize his midfield and fill it with excellent midfielders such as Gavi and Pedri to coordinate the team moving forward and they will be backed up by the experienced Sergio Busquet and Frenkie de Jong. With the arrival of his former teammate Dani Alves he may be paired up front with Ansu Fati to take over the wide areas while goalscorer Memphis Depay strikes for the team. At the back will likely be Pique at the middle coordinating and Eric Garcia and Mingueza.

If young midfielder Pedri makes the starting XI, he will be Barcelona's most valuable player on that day with a market value of €80m even thought he has a release clause of €1bn
