Barcelona new manager and former captain Xavi Hernandez had his first encounter with the players and coaching staff today and during the meeting before undertaking his first training session at the Joan Gamper training facility, he gave some set of rules to the players.

Different managers are known to have different rules, many even come with fines, such was the case of Frank Lampard who imposed a fine of £20,000 for lateness to training during his time as Chelsea boss. Xavi's rules are highlighted below;

-- All players must observe extreme Punctuality. Everyone is expected to arrive an hour before training.

-- Mobile phones are banned from the dressing room.

-- There will be extreme privacy within the Squad and leaking any information to the press won't be tolerated.

-- There will be no eating of junk food whether at home or in the dressing room. Players will be encouraged to focus on whole grain and cereal types of food.

-- Each player is expected to wear Barca kits at All times when around the dressing room. Personal clothing will be locked away until training or Barca activities are finished.

Xavi wants to have a team of disciplined players both in conduct and eating habits which would help the team maintain a tough mentality and productivity on the pitch.
