Montreal Impact gave an importan step forward after beating Inter Miami to stop a negative streak they were carrying. After the triumph they position themselves back in safe post-season positions, although they are just four points over Atlanta United, the first team on a non-playoff position.

Neither way, not everything were celebrations for Thierry Henry after the return of his team to the winning path. Finnish winger Lassi Lappainen got injured and today the Montreal Impact has confirmed that he will miss the remainder of the season because he will have to undergo shoulder surgery.

Lappainen will be traveling to Italy during the week to get his surgery done in the European country. This comes because Montreal Impact is owned by Canadian-Italian bussinessman Joey Saputo, who also owns Bologna FC and a clinic in that city. In fact, Lappainen is at the Impact loaned from Bologna. The teams are twin clubs.

The Finnish forward arrived at Montreal Impact in 2019. During his first year at the Canadian side he played eleven games and scored five goals. In 2020, he scored four goals in 13 games. Lappainen is a sensible lose for Henry as the Finns have been playing arguably well at the teams worst moment, when Honduran Rommel Quioto was injured. Also, this lose is complicated because Henry doesn't count with many options on offense.
