2020 wasn’t an easy year for Chivas. The team coached by Víctor Vucetich completed a bad regular season and the trainer was questioned, at the point in which it was rumored that he could have left. But after qualifying to the next round of tournament Guard1anes things changed and the Liga MX side defeated Club America, causing the excitement of fans.
Vucetich confirmed that he was going to stay, but a new problem appeared during December that make him though twice such a thing. Chivas lost many players during the past campaign, as many of them committed undisciplined acts and Vucetich, sport adviser Ricardo Peláez and president Amaury Vergara decided to axe them.
With less players to pick in the squad, the coach asked for some signings to continue in his position. The first two that arrived are César Huerta and Alejandro Mayorga, but the coach considered that those arrivals are not enough and is still thinking on whom could be the next one coming.
The last name that Vucetich asked Peláez and Vergara as signings, according to what Mexican press published lately, is the one of Alan Medina. Aged 23, the midfielder was born in Culiacán and played all his professional career for Toluca. With a contract until June 2022 and a reported value of $1 million, Vucetich wants him training with his team soon.
