The Canadian coach faces key hours in his role as Vancouver Whitecaps coach. His team won only one of the last five games they played and is almost eliminated from the MLS season. Between the two zones, Vancouver Whitecaps is the second worst of the entire season. Only behind them is Inter Miami CF and they are equal in points with Cincinnati and Chicago Fire, all of them from Eastern Conference.

Another negative point that the Dos Santos team has is the lack of goal. In their last five meetings they have only scored five goals and in three games they have not been able to score. Those five goals were scored by five different players: Thelonius Bair, Michael Baldisimo, Lucas Cavallini, Jake Nerwinski and Rudy Camacho against.

Dos Santos faces his second season at the helm of the Canadian team and has only had nine wins in 38 games directed. This experience in MLS is his first, as he had previously managed minor teams such as San Francisco Deltas or Swope Park Rangers.
