The relationship between Ronald Koeman and Riqui Puig exploded and the coach told him in front of all his teammates

Riqui Puig had a difficult time at FC Barcelona since the arrival of Ronald Koeman. The head coach considered that the midfielder was not yet ready to play in his team and send him in just a couple of time since his arrival. The player was upset to notice that he was not playing as much as he wanted to and evaluated leaving.

It was even talked that Koeman asked Puig to look for a team to play at, as he considered that he was not going to have chances. Before the Dutch trainer era started, the Spanish wonderkid was considered to be one of the best players of Barça and given many chances to play with the first team.

After many weeks in which it was rumored how bad the relationship between this two is, it was revealed what the coach said the player. Newspaper El País assured that Koeman criticized Puig for being the player filtering information from the locker room of Barça to the press.

The same media assured that some companions of him gave the coach the reason while others considered it to hard, as everything occurred in front of all the squad. Puig has a contract remaining until June 2021 with the Catalan side and so far, has played 19 games, scoring no goals and giving three assists.
